Is that like military intelligence or jumbo shrimp? Thanks for keeping us updated on this legislation. I think it's an important thing for people to consider. As far as I know, most commericial farms to do not ease the passing of my future steak with say, a few sedatives, a Scotch and a lullaby. But I'm willing to concede that my love for other sentient beings is perhaps inconsistent with my love for eating many of the meals made with them...

I appreciate the whole discussion is fraught with many complications that the general debate ignores. How accessible is good, local, organic produce to inner city kids, for example.

You might enjoy my hypothetical "battle" posted on my personal blog, Epic Battle. There's far too much judgement, in my opinion, and too little search for common ground. Moralizing is a tough dinner companion...

Cheers, and thanks for the info. Please keep us updated!

Hi Jackie,

I checked out your blog and I think we're on the same page. One must accept that we all have to eat other living things to survive. That being said, it comes down to ethical and health choices... and that's where the world has to change. I personally think it will happen from the grassroots up, if it happens at all. Think global, act local (and support your farmer's market). :-)
