Penguins are arriving at GARS O'Higgins Research Station (a German Research Station in Antarctica). One of the four webcams is operating, with a new picture every 30 minutes. The other three webcams will hopefully be on line soon. Watch the penguins during nesting season at http://www.martingrund.de/pinguine/

The penguins at O'Higgins are Gentoo penguins, a species that nests in large numbers on the Falkland islands. They will probably begin nest building at O'Higgins within the next few weeks but, in the meantime, you can see them hanging around in small groups. The other webcams may not be operational before the beginning of November.
