I would be immensely interested in receiving references to solid scientific publications that conclude that TNR causes an increase in feral cats, or that the eradication approach has worked anywhere except on islands.
Readers might be interested in visiting the AFCAT site at http://www.cvm.tamu.edu/afcat/index.htm, a TNR program affiliated with a university and a veterinary school. This program has succeeded in vastly reducing the numbers of feral cats on the university campus and the website shows 1 year and 5 year data for the program. A resource list is also provided.
